Can't delete a file.

I have a file that won't delete. It is 0Kb large (result
of a failed FTP transfer). I can't rename/delete/move
it. I have rebooted multiple times. I can't identify a
process or user that may have a lock on it. How can I
get rid of it?

Restart in Safe mode and delete the file then, also check its properties to
see if it is in use..

Hi Chris - A program called Copylock, here,

"replacing, moving, renaming or deleting one or many files which are
currently in use (e.g. system files like comctl32.dll, or virus/trojan

Many thanks for your help. I am newto this posting, so I hope this
gets to you. AND I hope I am on the right track by deleted the
"Index.dat" file in the cookie file that won't delete and keeps
getting larger.
Perhaps the MARVELOUS advice that I am studing and applying that you
sent to several others regarding "LONG MESSAGE - variants, scumware,
etc." will help.
