can't create a internet dial-up connection

We have upgraded a W2000 computer to WXP Pro.

But now I can't create a internet dial-up connection. In the wizard,
after 'Set up my connection manually', the options 'Connect using a
dial-up modem' and 'Connect using a broadband connection...' are grey
and can't be selected.

Anyone?

This is the usual reason:

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

usual fix is to re-apply current service pack ( SP1 or SP2. )

This comes up from time to time too:

Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable
