Can't creat dial up only broadband

A

Anne

I recently changed mb to an asus.
I have installed the modem ok. There are no conflicts in
device manager. A modem query comes up ok.
When i try to set a up a dial up connection useing the
wizard i go through the process
1. connect to the internet next
2.set up my connection manually, next
3. the next window is partially greyaed out. Connect
useing a broadband connection is the only available
option.
Note: the on board lan is disabled.
What is wrong?

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.

The three mentioned are set to automatic. I am still
getting an error 711. Cannot load remote access
connection manager.

Anne, did you download and run the edit?

You can also do this manually:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP
Delete the subkeys listed except 13 and 4.

The three mentioned are set to automatic. I am still
getting an error 711. Cannot load remote access
connection manager.
