Can't configure a dialup connection in Win XP

Hello all, I am trying to setup a dialup connection using the connection wizard and it does not give me the option to select the modem or pppoe radio buttons. The only option that is available is the broadband cable option. The other two choices are greyed out. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a solution to this issue. I am using Win XP home.
