cant change homepage

my homepage defaults to:
http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&pver=6&ar=msnhome


i have gone into the registry to try to change this and every other way that
has come to mind. ive run virus scans, spyware scans, and looked at
everything i can think of.


can someone please help me fix this

Check for Hijackware.

Download and run HijackThis;

Read this Tutorial *before* first use;

Once done > run HijackThis > save a scan log and post it to /any/ of the
following (expert) forums for analysis.
*Note, registration is required prior to posting a log.

I am having the same problem how can i fix it??

It might be a security program blocking the Registry changes it needs to
make. A few of the programs now doing this are:
Ad-aware's Ad-Watch
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware
Norton AV
Spyware Blaster
Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks
Spybot- Teatimer
Spysweeper
Zone Alarm (free) 6.5 Reported to be fixed in later versions.

In the case of Zone Alarm 6.5 and Norton 2007 it actually has to be
uninstalled. Make sure the Windows Firewall is turned on until you
reinstall Zone Alarm.

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking with Networking and try the change from
Tools | Internet options.
