Can't change/delete/edit text?? It's frozen! :(

I downloaded a MS Word Template from MS template gallary. It was a
Newsletter with prepopulated data and formatting.

It was 8 pages, I only needed 4 pages so I deleted 4 of the pages out.

At the top of two of the pages it has text that says "enter data here" and
it has a colored bar at the top. I can select it, delete it, edit it or do
anything?

I thought maybe it was a header or footer but checked and it isn't?

There's a table in front of it so I deleted the table out thinking it was
hidden behind it but still can't do anything? It's almost like it's part of
the page? Like a letterhead where you can't change it! ugh.

I already completed it making it look like I want and hate to have to start
all over again just because of 3 words I can't delete? Any suggestions???
