Can't change data type

I'm trying to change one of my fields from a number data type to a text type
and Access keeps giving me an error message - "Can't change data type; It is
part of one or more relationships"
I deleted any relationships this field had in the relationships table and it
still won't let me change it. Why?!!!

Hi TKI,

Try doing a Compact and Repair procedure.
Also, try right-clicking in the Relationships window and then selecting Show
All from the resulting menu. You may have another relationship that you're
simply not seeing.

Deleting Relationships is a bit tricky. You can't just delete the *table icon*
on the relationships window; that just changes the display.

Instead, open the relationships window; view all relationships, or select (or
add) this table and view direct. Then select the *join line* - not the table
icon - and press the delete key. Access will make you verify that you want to
delete the relationship.
