can't change Categorize color for this occurence

Hi there,

We've upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 Pro Plus. We used to be able
to change the Category color for each individual Occurence in a recurring
item in our calendar. We now can only change the color for the series, and
not individual occurrences any more...

Is there a way to do this in outlook 2007 or has it been permanently changed
from Outlook 2003??

It has been permanently changed - it is no longer possible. You'll need
separate appointments.

We're having issues at my work where we have a master calendar that shows all
appts scheduled for that day. Now that we've moved to 2007, we can't
categorize them to our own individual colors to show the front desk which
appts belong to each individual person. Any recommendations on how to do
this?

What happens when you try? Unless they are recurring appointments (and you
should be using recurring appointments for this) you should be able to
categorize appointments.

They just show up clear on everyone else's calendar...but on my calendar,
they are color coded like i set them up. No, they are not reoccurring appts,
they are all new appts.

Probably you used labels in Outlook 2003, and now you're using categories,
which are different.

You need to create the same categories on every computer and assign the same
colors. You may do that manually, or use Category Manager for that. For

is good for deploying your categories once.
