Canon Video Camera, causing computer to crash?

when I plug in my camera it makes my computer crash, or if its plugged in for
a few minutes some times its okay, but most of the time it makes my computer
crash, or other programs to stop responding before it crashes?

It sounds like a driver problem. A copy of the Stop Error Report would
be helpful.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Right click on
the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties, Advanced,
Start-Up and Recovery, System Failure and uncheck box before
Automatically Restart.

Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

It says that Imimirr.dll, Imimirr2.dll, and Imimirr.sys are the only 3 things
Unsigned.

Those three drivers relate to a programme called Logmein. I can see that
these drivers and connecting a Canon Videa Camera are likely to be
linked.

What is the model number for your Canon Video Camera? It could be that
updated drivers fron Canon.
