Cannot Uninstall Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite & Team Explorer

We worked with a MicroSoft consultant in early 2007 (I have been away
from my job for 1 year) . He had us install the trial editions of the
Team Suite and Team Explorer applications. We completed the install
via a download from MicroSoft. Now I need to remove the software - the
typical add/remove programs is not working. For Team Explorer: The
software acts like it is going to install the software. I am trying to
uninstall. As I progress through the screens at some point I am
prompted for a file "VSTORE.exe". I do not have any disk for the
install. So I am stuck. For the Team Suite: The software raises an
error that it cannot find vs_setup.msi. The file is not in the
directory. So I assume I am stuck there also. Any help would be
appreciated. I cannot bear the thought of rebuilding this box.

You may have to rebuild, but first try the manual uninstall procedures
listed in this article.
