cannot send mail from hotel

I provide IT for a small company that has employees that are on the road. I
had to disable relaying on our Exchange Server SMTP because of issues with
ISP refusing our mail because of Open Relay. When I did that, now the outside
employees cannot send mail when they are at a hotel.

Is there something I can modify on their Outlook setup or on the Exchange
Server that will allow them to send mail from these (hotel) locations?

Thanks!

Just get them to authenticate with the server!

I have used "My outgoing SMTP server requires authentication" and put in the
log in info, but that has not worked. I also just changed my SMTP and POP
protocols in Exchange to accept Basic Authentication. I am waiting for a
callback from one of the employees to test those settings.

I just got word that changing my SMTP server (on Exchange) to accept Basic
Authentication resolved this issue!
