Cannot save to CDR/RW drive. Urgent help needed....

I have been saving works documents to my CD-R/RW drive. Last night I received
this error message "You do not have permission to save to this directory.See
the administrator to obtain permission.Would you like to save in the My
Documents folder instead?" No programs have been added or removed lately and
I am the only user. I would appreciate any help offered. I'll even give you a
mention in the foreword to the novel that I'm trying to save to disk.

Yyou can't save directly to CDR/RW using the Windows XP CD burning function.
Are you using a third-party CD burning application?

Have previously inserted CD in D drive, used 'save as function', then XP
advised files ready to be written to CD, then performed that function. On
this occasion could not even get that far.

Hi Gordon

Thanks for your input, problem solved, I think. Didn't open the doc, but
went to my docs, highlighted the file, and chose send to CD drive. Wrote file
to CD. All seems OK. Thanks again and I'll give you a nod in the book - let
me know how you'd like to be referred to (Gordon unless you advise otherwise)
and it'll be in there: 1. When I finish it - which won't be long. 2. When I
find a publisher - which might take longer.
All the best.

You're welcome!

Ooh! Fame at last!
