Cannot Run Check Disk on C Drive

Jerry

I have windows xp home edition, and my hard drive is
partioned into a "D" drive, which is the recovery drive
and my main "C" drive. The D drive is FAT32 file system,
while the C drive is NFST. Whenever I try to do a check
disk on the C drive, after I reboot, it just comes back to
the desktop. Any suggestions?

winXP does the check disk on boot-up before windows loads,
that's by design. Or do you mean it doesn't do anything at
all before coming to the dektop.

It doesn't do anything at all. I don't get the blue
screen showing it is checking the disk

It does NOT do a check disk at boot up before windows loads. That is NOT by
design. Where did you get that idea?
