Cannot Do Disk Check

My hard drive is partioned into a "D"drive (Recovery),
and "C" drive, which is my main drive. The D drive is FAT
32 file system and the C drive is NTFS. Whenever I right
click on the "C" drive, click properties, tools, and fix
errors now, it tells me I have to reboot. After I reboot,
it just comes back to the desktop. Anybody know the
problem?

Not sure what the problem is with going back to the desktop after bootup,
but you can certainly try running "chkdsk /f" in your recovery console. To
access your Recovery Console, follow the directions at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314058&Product=winxp.
