Cannot resize quick launch

The right side vertical adjuster bar to size/resize the
quick launch bar is missing. Task bar is unlocked. How do I
reinstate the adjuster bar?

Here's what I would try:

- Take the QL toolbar by the left vertical bar, drag it above the
taskbar, and release. Then drag it back, realign everything the way you
prefer.

- Line 164. Restore Taskbar to Default Functionality

What often happens is that the end "margin" of the QuickLaunch toolbar
has gotten so far over to the right that it is now down below. Unlock
the Taskbar and then "grab" the dotted line on the bottom bar and drag
it up to immediately to the right of the QuickLaunch icons. Now you've
successfully made the QuickLaunch toolbar shorter and can "grab" the top
bar of the Taskbar and "push" it down to the regular one-tier height.

Thank you.
This did not work.
I was able to drag the quick launch out of the task bar onto
the desk top area. It would not drag back to the task bar.
To get it back into the task bar, I had to turn it off in
properties and then turn it back on. This placed it back in
the task bar, icons /rearranged/, but no right side vertical
sizing bar.
Seems as though windows thinks the task bar is locked when
it is not.

Yes. That did it.
I did not see a "dotted" bar at the bottom,
There were two vertical bars on the left side. One
corresponding to the quick launch icon area, and one below
it, corresponding to where active programs would show. I
dragged the "active program" left bar all the way to right,
past the quick launch icons. This restored the right side
sizing bar.
Thank you

You're very welcome. Sometimes you don't see a dotted bar; it depends on
whether you are using Classic or the XP interface. As long as you got it
done, that's all that matters. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
