Cannot receive, Outlook 2003

Here is my error message:

Task Receiving Error (0x8004210E): 'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable
because another email massage is being delivered to it or another mail
application is accessing it. The server responced: ERR box locked'

I think I shut down all Firelwall, Norton etc. I have the settings right as
well. I can send.

Any ideas?

Try and close your AV incoming email scanning and try.You will still be protected

That is shut down, I guess it is not the cause of the error. Any other
suggestions are welcome!

Is a Pocket PC cradled when you try and check email?
Any other email applications running?

It really sounds like an email is being sent and in limbo via, possibly, the
AV.

Had this same problem

1) was able to access mailbox via web client so that seemed to indicate
outlook is the culprit no matter what the message says

2) called comcast support but they could find nothing wrong with the
account and had no way of "unlocking" the account

SOLUTION for me:

1) delete account in outlook

2) recreate the account in outlook

next sync the problem went away
