Cannot read newsgroup posts

What program are you trying to use to read the news groups?

My computer runs Windows XP. My problem is that I can't read some posts in

newsgroups. Instead of text I see **********. Can someone help me fix this
problem? I am using Outlook Express vs.. 5.

She is using OE 6.
Cynthia, you need to set your news messages to plain text. In OE click
Tools, Accounts, click the News tab, Properties, Advanced, and check Plain
Text instead of HTML.
