Cannot Print after installing Windows 2000

I have a Compaq Presario computer that came with Windows 98 on it with a
Compaq IJ300 printer, after upgrading to Windows 2000 the printer no longer
works. It worked fine with Windows 98, when I check in the control panel
under devices it show a yellow question mark and says drivers not installed.
I went to both Compaq and Microsoft Windows download centers and none of them
have drivers for Windows 2000, only Windows 3.1, 95 and 98. What can I do to
make this printer work again, as it did when I was running Windows 98. I
don't want to buy a new printer when there is nothing wrong with this one.

If there are no drivers for Win2K, it's not going to work. Strangely enough
there are drivers for XP....

Same problem with canon MP730. No 2k drivers. I have the system setup
as dual boot and using a program called Fineprint, www.fineprint.com, I
am able to safe the documents, spreadsheets, etc. as a fineprint file
and later booting into w98 to print. Pain but it works.
