I have used Windows MovieMaker2 before, and have usually
saved the movie files as DV-AVI file type. These files
have always worked when played in any player.
I have just installed a trial version of Ulead
Videostudio, and Cyberlink PowerDirector to compare them
to WMM. I find now I cannot play the dv-avi files saved
with WMM. It gives an error saying the file is corrupt,
or the file type is not suported. This happens with
several different media players. Gspot cannot render the
file saying that no combination of filters could be found.
I'm sure it has something to do with installing the two
other video editors, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I
have re-installed WMM2, but still the same thing. WMM2
will save the file OK without any errors, but the file
cannot be played.....
