Cannot open "Add/Remove Windows Components"

Whenever I try to access the "Add/Remove Windows Components" I get the message:

"The installation program could not open the information file nlite.inf.
Contact the administrator. The specific error code is 0x2 in the line
2088999411."

Remember, this is NOT a problem relating to "Add/Remover Programs" (this I
can access without a problem), the problem is the "Add/Remove Windows
Components" tab.
What the heck could this be?????
I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2.

You seem to be running a "tweaked" version of Xp. If I am not mistaken,
nlite.inf seem to come from the XP install tweaking utility Nliite.

Hi Wes!
It seems NLite is great to create an ISO image CD when you want to remove some
installation items, but not to put them back. I tried it and there isn't an option to
"add" some components back...
Still fighting!
Any other ideas? (thanks for the last one anyway!!!!!)

I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2.
And, apparently also this... nLite 0.99.5 Beta

I searched my machine for nlite.inf and didn't find it. After Yves' tip I
just did a Google search for nlite.inf and found that link.

So I really do not know anything at all about nLite.

Just an idea, what does your sysoc.inf file look like?

%windir%\inf\sysoc.inf

Sample sysoc.inf here
