Cannot open a local web in Frontpage

Dave Logan

I'm using FrontPage 2000 and Windows XP Pro SP2. All of a sudden, FrontPage
can't open one of my local webs. It will open all other webs, local and
otherwise, but this particular local website won't open. Whenever I try to
open it, my CPU usage immediately goes up to 100%, my available memory goes
down to 0, then my virtual memory goes down to 0, and I have to kill FP
using Task Manager in order to prevent Windows from crashing completely.
Running FrontPage's Detect and Repair makes no difference. What's going on,
and how can I fix this?

NB: I can open it as C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mywebname, but I can't open it as
http://localhost/mywebname.
