Cannot Log in to Live Messenger (v14.0.8064.206)

I can log-in to Live Mail but not Live Messenger. I cannot remove via
CONTROL PANEL | ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS to download and re-install the
latest version.

Suggestions welcomed.
