Cannot install Printer

When I try to install a printer from a disk or from a network drive by
clicking the Setup.exe file on the original printer setup disc this is the
error message I'm receiving:
"D:\Setup.exe. the specified path does not exist. Check the path and try
again"

When I try to use the Add Printer wizard in Printers and Faxes the wizard
won't start, but it does not give me a an error message or register anything
in the event logs.

I did try the disc in another computer and it worked fine.

Eveything else seems to be working fine on the computer running Windows XP
with SP2

Any ideas on this issue?

Is that how the docs said to install your printer?
