You should post to the appropriate NG. This is a .NET programmer's NG.

I am sorry Mr Arnold, but I am new to this forum and don't understand what a "NG" is. Would you be so kind as to inform me where the appropriate place is for my post?
I must confess I am not computer savvy, but I do have a problem I would very
much like to solve. Detailed information would be helpful.
Thank you,

NG = News Group, because after all you have subscribed to
msnews.microsoft.com and it contains many MS NG(s).

This NG you are posting to now doesn't apply to your situation in hopes of
finding an solution for your problem. This is a computer programmer's NG
that deals with computer programming languages.

You'll want to post to a more appropriate NG like MS.Public.WindowsXP
*General* NG concerning your issues.
