Cannot import .pst file

Vernon

I installed my second copy of Office 2007 on my new laptop and configured
Outlook 2007 with my mail settings. Send and receive work perfect.

Like I did on my work computer my data folder path is to my flash drive and
then to the file.pst. All my folders are visable. However, when I do the
same on my laptop I see my file but when selected it gives me an error
message that this file is not a personal folder file. I have over 195,000 kb
in that file. File has been read and saved in the 2007 version numerous
times.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Somewhere along the line you may have disconnectedf the flash drive before
Outlook properly closed the PST on it and thus corrupted the PST in such a
fashion that Outlook no longer recognizes it to be a PST. Can you still
access it on the PST that had it open most recently? Try copying it to the
hard drive and then open it. See if SCANPST.EXE will process it.

By the way, do not import. Instead, simply open the PST with
File>Open>Outlook Data File.

I would have expected the usb to simply contain a file - somename.pst
Are you saying that within outlook you are unable to open this pst, and
receive that msg?
