Cannot go to sponsored linkes in google

When I search using IE6 the Google website and find a subject/product, often times on the right are some 'sponsored' links. When I try to click on any of the displayed links, nothing happens, although on the lower left, the url is displayed for the link. Is there anyway to repair this? What might have been the cause of the problem? Thanks in advance

Mark,

Those are javascripts. Refresh your scripting engine: [Links Courtesy of Frank Saunders]

Hi Ramesh,
I tried installing the script 5.6 and that did not take care of the problem. After various attempts of trying to repair IE, I restored my PC to an earlier point using my backup program, and I've resolved the problem. I'm not sure what created it. I have Spybot and Adware and neither show any spyware. Thanks.
