Cannot delete desktop Folder

Hi NG,

on my Windows XP Pro I cannot delete folders, I create on my desktop.
Windows tells me, that there might be a programm still having access on
that folder.
Folder is closed, no program running and i doubt whether there is a
process that might still have access to the folders.
This problem only appears on my desktop-folder.
After a restart, I can delete that folder.

My machine runs day n night so I dont want to restart everytime I want
to delete someting :/

Any idea?

How do I delete an "undeletable" file?

Either restart or deleting the same in Safe mode generally solves the
problem.

Hey thanks.
A simple Task Manager > Processes > End Explorer.exe > Start
Explorer.exe was what I needed.
Thank you.
