cannot create new file in music folder

When I try to create a new folder in My Music, the whole thing jams and I
have to close the folder using task manager. There are quite alot of songs
in my music, but I have plenty of memory space...please help

You could try creating a folder at the command line

start > run > cmd
cd %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Music
mkdir newdirectory
