Cannot Connect to the Net with RC1

I installed RC1 yesterday and I cannot connect to the net via my ie7 web
browser though I can ping yahoo and other sites but cannot use the browser. I
tried to connect via my companys lan and wireless network with the same
results. I have read other peoples post but I do not see a difinitive fix. I
installed on a hp laptop less then one year old. I had been running IE7 with
xp pro with no problem. Will I have a problem reinstalling xp Pro if I cannot
fix this issue?

TIA

Hi,

What type of network adapter does your system have? There is a problem in R1
with Marvel Yukon nics, and it can be resolved by installing XP drivers over
the Vista ones.

Rick..Thanks for your quick reply.! Yukon is not the nic that is in my
laptop. I do not have access to the laptop at this moment I will check and
try the same thing that you suggested and keep you posted. Is this same issue
being reported in RC2 ?

Hi,

Still indicates a netword card driver issue, have you check with the
manufacturer for an updated one?

Hi,

Windows Explorer is still there, just looks a little different. Hit the
Winkey+e to open, or type explorer into the search box.
