Cannot clear temporary internet files and access current webpage

When I try to sign-in to view email (Earthlink Web Mail) using IE6 SP2 I get
a five-day old page saying service is temporarily unavailable. When I use a
different computer on same home network, I get to the current, fully
functioning page. Apparently my computer is displaying a cached page. I
have used Internet Options to delete cookies and temporary internet files,
tried refresh and shift-refresh, turned off firewall and antivirus, rebooted
and cold booted, and bypassed home network and connected through dial-up. No
problems viewing other webpages or getting email using Outlook Express (but I
need to use browser and Web Mail to check blocked suspect spam, etc.).

First, go to IE tools, internet options, Internet Explorer cache settings.
Do NOT use 'automatic'. Use 'every visit to the page'.

Next, follow the advice at this URL:

Yup; it was that pesky "Hosts" file. Remmed out the reference to the
troublesome page and it worked like a champ.

Thanks and regards.
