Cannot access specific website

Hi,

I am running IE6.0 and windows 98 SE. I can access most websites
without problem. But when I tried to access http://usa.autodesk.com/,
the website was loaded halfway and showed pictures on the left side of
the page, but IE stopped on loading pictures or sth else on the right
side of the page. Then IE popped up a dialog box to ask me send the
error message to microsoft. However I can access the disscusion groups
of that website(http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2772611&linkID=2475323).
When I tried other computers, the website can be shown without
problem. I checked the right of the website and found a big dynamic
picture (flash or sth like that). I suspect my IE encoutered problem
when loaded that picture. My computer maybe need install something to
support to display it.

I tried all the methods, but to no avail: 1. Delete cookies. 2. Find
HOSTS in the directory of C:\Windows, but I cannot find it. 3. Run
Adware, Spybot and CWShredder. Could you please help me figure it out?

Thanks in advance,
Andy

Could be Java related.

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)

Check your system.
Check your Java Support
Found out what version you have and you should be able to get what you need.

Hi Leboeuf,

I checked Java related information and found nothing wrong with my system.
But the problem is still there. Anyway, thank you very much.

Does anyone have further suggestions?

TIA

Hi Leboeuf,

Thank you very much for your kind help.

This time I deleted all TIF by following the steps in the article on the
website you provided - "Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files". However
the problem is the same. I suspect that I need to install a Flash driver
(sth like that) to load the dynamic picture - because IE is dead half way to
open the site. Is it possible for me to install some kind of drivers?

Another problem with my browser is when I open
http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp (microsoft MSDN website),
the left frame is blank. After I click Refresh, the contents can be shown.

Many thanks,

Andy
