Cannot Access second computer

Hello All -

Here's the issue that I'm having with my 2 pc's.

PC A which we shall call - RailRoad is running windows xp pro w/service pack
2.

PC B is called - Locomotion (yes I love trains as u can tell ) and it's
running xp pro sp1.

Both pc's are utilizing TCP IP with a Router / Cable modem.
Both computers can access the internet with no problem.
I created a network called "WORKGROUP" and shared the C drives.
When trying to access pc B from A , I receive a message that the server
service isnt started.
I checked on the LOCOMOTION PC (services) and the server service is indeed
started.

When I go from Locomotion(B) to Railroad (A) browsing is incredibly slow and
it seems no matter what folder I click on i receive a message that I dont
have rights to do so.

Simple File sharing is enabled.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure any firewalls are configured to allow lan traffic as trusted.
SP2 automatically enables the Windows Firewall. If you are not running
a third-party firewall, go to the Windows Firewall applet in Control
Panel and enable File & Printer Sharing on the Exceptions tab. If you
are using a third-party firewall (and have properly configured it to
allow your lan traffic as Trusted), then turn the Windows Firewall off.
You don't want two firewalls running, and a third-party program will be
better than the WF.

In addition, here is an excellent network troubleshooter by MVP
Hans-Georg Michna. If you go through it carefully, it will help
pinpoint the problem.
