Cannot access local web server from Internet

Hi.

I have the following setup on my home PC:

SpeedTouch 510 ADSL gateway with an internal IP address of 10.0.0.138 and a
dynamic external IP address assigned by the ISP.
LAN card connected to SpeedTouch 510 with an IP address of 10.0.0.1
Netcomm NP7042 USB wireless adapter with an IP Address of 192.168.0.1

I also have a wireless connection built-in to my laptop with an IP address
of 192.168.0.2

I have enabled Internet Connection Sharing on my PC and the wirless network
is working perfectly. I can see the Internet OK from both PC's and I can
also see shared resources on both PC's.

However, before I installed the wirless network, I was able to browse local
web sites hosted on my PC by going to the dynamic IP address assigned by the
ISP. This is no longer working after I have setup the ICS and I cannot
figure out why. When I installed the ICS it said that it would assign the IP
address 192.168.0.1 to the Internet connection but it doesn't seem to have
done this. I did already have that IP address assigned to the wireless
adapter though.

I have ZoneAlarm Pro running on my PC although I have closed this down and
am still unable to access the web server so I don't think it is anything
related to that.

I went the ICS route because when I previously had the wireless and LAN
networks bridged, I used to get a BSOD on boot-up when I had the wireless
adapter connected. The weird thing is that the wireless adapter would work
fine if I hooked it up to the PC after boot!

Well, at a bit of a loss here and would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Jason

Perhaps it's a proxy thing? eg your laptop is going to your ISP's proxy
server to find your local sites (which it doesn't know about?)

Try turning on the option to "bypass proxy for local addresses"

Colin (I've no idea if this solves the problem, but it's what I would try)
