DNS server unreachable

When I attempt to sign onto my internet provider with a wirless connection to
my dsl modem, I am told my "DNS server is unreachable or unavailable". My IP
address and subnet mask are both shown as 0.0.0.0 despite my efforts to
manually set them. My wireless router and pc card vendor believes my wireless
connection and hardware are not the problem. Please help. Thanks.

Try running lspfix.exe and/or winsockxpfix.exe. Google for both files.

Try plugging your computer directly into the DSL modem (if possible)
and rebooting both (modem first, then computer). If that works, then
you know the problem lies with the wireless hardware.

Most broadband providers use Dynamic IP addressing, meaning you can't
set them locally by changing the properties on you LAN connection.
Your provider won't accept those changes.
