Cannot Access Add/Remove Programs

Hello to everyone,

Recently i tryed to open up add/remove programs and it would not let me

this error message came up

Windows cannot find "C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe"

i have tryed reinstalling the windows service pack 2, that didnt work



could anyone tell me how to get back that file so i cant get access to
Add/Remove Programs



thanks in advance to anyone who is kind enough to help me with this dillema

Ooops, "rundll32.exe" is not a file that just goes missing.
You'd better focus on why and if it has indeed disappeared. - I'm
thinking Virus...
A copy of the file could possibly be located as
"C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\rundll32.exe"
Best of luck...

yea i was worried about this

i got some viruses and im dumb so i went on a deleting spree
and i think i deleted it, is there anyway to get it back???
please help im desperate

If you can't locate it C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\
and copy it into C:\WINDOWS\system32\
Then best advice would be to copy it of another computer (my
rundll32.exe dated back to aug.2004, - my system is danish WinXP Pro
SP2 with all the latest MS patches)

But... what else did you delete ... (if the answer is : "a lot of
system files", - then how about a reinstalling windows ...)
