Can you suggest an alternate to NewEgg? TIA

seems? for instance? compared to what? Although they cannot beat every price they are FAR from overpriced...if Newegg would open a
'willcall' area, they would another viable source for me.

I took a look at memory, Cpu's and cases last night, seem overpriced
compared to newegg and zipzoomfly.

Like many here, I'm a long-time satisfied customer of NewEgg. Sometimes,
though, I want something quickly that they don't have in stock, or just
don't carry. I recently waited a week for a part to be back in stock, and
had signed up to be autonotified, only to see that they've pushed back the
ETA by another week.

So I've looked around for an alternate source. Most of the companies I've
come across either had poor ratings from Reseller Ratings or poor websites.
For instance, I tried ZipZoomFly which seems OK, but not very informative in
its product descriptions. These seem to be taken verbatim from
manufacturers' literature, including the parenthetical remark "(optional)".
At least NewEgg usually edits these descriptions, and also (usually)
includes pictures from different angles and of the box contents, so you have
a pretty good idea what you will get.

I prefer to deal with NewEgg because they offer very good prices,
information, and shipping, and excellent service. NewEgg is definitely hard
to match. But I need a backup source. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I also like axiontech.com,
esspecially when I want a recently discontinued product.

I'm sort of looking for the same thing. Does anyone know if Tiger Direct is
any good?
Have heard nothing good about Tiger direct. Their ratings are consistantly
low. I would avoid them if it were me.

The last time I ordered anything from Tiger Direct was 14 years ago.
They seemed like an OK company, though their prices at the time were
too high (I've seen some good prices from them since then), and I
usually did not want what they were selling, regardless of the price.
But, I remember my last purchase pretty well. It was for DR-DOS 6.
They kept shipping it to someone in another state (Colorado). The last
time, UPS noticed that the address looked funny, and called me (my
phone number was on the package). I wrote to the president of the
company, and he apologized in a personal letter to me, and said he
would enclose coupons to make up for the mistake. Unfortunately, there
were no coupons in his letter, so I never got them. I could make note
that the company had just been hit by a hurricane a few months
earlier, which got them a little behind.
