Can WPF run on XP Embeded

Will Windows XP Embedded support the new Dot Net 3.0 functionality
(specifically WPF)?

I tried installing the standard Dot Net 3.0 runtime on a thin client running
XP embedded, but it couldn't manage the 500 mb disk space requirement.

Will there be a specific download for XP embedded that is smaller that the
thin clients can manage better that will allow WPF applications on thin
clients platforms? If so, is there an ETA for it?

Thanks in advance.
