Can windows NT and 2000 servers co exist in 2003 or 2008 Active Directory
Environment?
We are thinking of moving from windows 200 AD to windows 2003 or 2008 Active
Directory,
and would like to know if my existing windos NT and 2000 server will fail to
authenticate or have any problem with accessing resourses

Hello mc,

Yes, they can work together but you can get problems with connectivity, with
SMB signing. Also have a look here:

2000 is not a problem. But if you have NT4 you should really try to remove
them totally.

SMB signing issue goes for both windows 2000 and NT, or just NT,
These issues can happen Acive Directory 2003 also?

Hello mc,

With 2003 the security level is gone higher and SMB signing is always enabled
by default. So it is also in 2003 and 2008, which also can use SMB version2.
