Hi

I have a yahoo.co.uk free account which until a few days was working fine. I
can now receive mail but cannot send out. I access this through outlook
express.

Have been getting various error messages one posted below

Any ideas?

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.

You can not access Yahoo free through a different email program. You need
to pay for the upgraded Yahoo email or you can use YPOPs,
http://ypopsemail.com/
however I believe Yahoo considers YPOPs a violation of their TOS and might
cancel your account if they find out.

Thanks Bob

Is this a recent problem as I have been using this system for nearly 12
months?

I think I've read that yahoo.co.uk does not have the same requirements
on this as yahoo.com, which does have such restrictions. You may need
to ask yahoo.co.uk through webmail to be sure, though.
