Can not update

I also have not been able to update MS spyware Beta , I
have it installed on other computers and they can update
ok , the computer that can not update is running Norton
Internet security and anti virus It seems to me this may
be the problem. Does anybody have any ideas??

I tried that it still will not work , removed and
reinstalled spyware still no go.

disable Norton's antivirus, firewall, and all components of Norton running
in the background
shut down all the icons in the taskbar
try installing MSAS and advise your results

make sure the Norton firewall permssions for the MS
antispyware program are set to permit all. A quick test
before you do this is to temporarily disable and then
test update, if it works then go ahead and change Norton
settings, if it does not work then unistall antispyware
and then reinstall that should do it
