can not find data1.msi

When I open Power point I get a message: The path Microsoft Office 2000
Professional" cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location
and try again, or try to find the installation package DATA1.MSI in a folder
from which you can install the product. " It was runing OK before my computer
was update"
I run the repair and restore from the CD, but did not help! Do I install
the program and start over?
I can open WORD and Excel

What happens when you place the Office 2000 Professional CD, (cancel the
auto-install if it starts), then start PowerPoint? Does the installation
file (data1.msi) Office Install is looking for get found?

Was your Office product installed from a network source or from a CD?

Some updates require adjustments to the programs themselves and will call on
you to re-insert the Installation disks. Usually, these also offer a
larger, but more complete download option. Unfortunately, you have to dig
through the Microsoft update sites to find these larger files.

You could start by using Google to search for the exact error message text.
Then look for the Microsoft site that is referenced.
