I got a message on my windows 2000 Pro when I try to
logon to the machine locally with the administrator
username and password that I created for that machine,
but it keep coming up with this message:The Local Policy
of This System Does Not Permit You to Logon
Interactively. Can anyone help? I try to do what
Microsoft say to do but it did not work.

Be sure to look at the policy and make sure that the logon locally option
did not get screwed up. This would keep you from logging in. If everything
looks good with the policy, please post some of the actions you have taken
to resolve the issue, and I will see what else I can find internally. I do
not want to give you something that you have already attempted.

I have to try to use the ntrights command, copy the
security file from the repair folder to the config folder
and made sure everything looks correct.

If you can copy the secedit.sdb file from another W2K Pro computer over to
the locked out computer via the administrative share as described in link
below, that may work. Also I have successfuly fixed that probelm by using
secedit command to reset user rights to default level in a batch file and
using it as a startup script on a locked out computer by copying it over the
via an administrative share and remotely configuring Group Policy on it to
be a startp script. --- Steve
