Can Not connect to Internet

I have recently install Windows Xp on my computer. On the
second day after installing it, I was unable to connect to
any either intenet explorer, netscape or MSn. I have DSL
connection which checks out fine. I am getting pinged and
contacts from other computers. But I can not connect to
the internet. Any help
