Can NetWare 4.11 work with Windows XP

I have a new Dell computer at work and I have Windows XP
Professional. My IT guy says he cannot connect me to the
NetWare 4.11 network we use at work. Says XP is not
compatable with this version of NetWare.

Is this correct, or is he just blowing me off because he
doesn't want to take the time to figure it out?

I've connected XP boxes to Netware 4.11 services using the Client for
Netware service available with XP. I've never do this will the Novel
client. Don't see why it wouldn't work.
