Windows Client services for NetWare

B

Bruce

I have windows XP clients connecting to a NetWare 4.11
server using
Windows Client for NetWare services. All my drive
mappings work but I
cannot get my batch files to run that I use to push out
updates.

Example:

#Command.com c/Z:\SavUpd.bat

will not execute when my clients logs in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe OT, but you might want to consider using the Novell Netware client
instead....and you should be able to call your batch file in the Novell
login script.

Use the Novell Client instead.

Greetings --

If you're using the built-in Novell Client that Microsoft
provides, poor performance and random disconnects are the norm. (I
sometimes think Microsoft sub-contracted AOL to provide the code for
its Novell client.) Try using Novell's IntranetWare Client32.

.
Thank you all for all your help. I do not want to use
the NetWare client. We are moving to Server 2003 in a few
months and we just upgraded all my clients to Windows XP
and do not want to sit at every computer twice, once to
put on the NetWare client and once to take it back off in
a few months. There has to be a way to run batch files
from a Novell login script using the Client Services for
NetWare that Microsoft provides. I will keep looking.
