Can I join W2K and XP Pro clients to a new domain via scripting?

Hi,

Due to reorganization in the company, we have a new domain. We set up this
domain from scratch using W2K3 and now it's sitting next to the old domain
ready to go. Now we have to migrate all our users from the old domain to the
new. Our clients are Windows 2000 Pro and Win XP Pro machines. Is there a way
for us to join these computers to the new domain using scripting or some
other automated way? It would also be nice to transfer contents of user
profiles into users' new profiles in the new domain.

I'd appreciate some pointers here. Thanks.
