Can I install XP home over NT 4.0 workstation (2 questions)

I have Window NT workstation 4.0 and would like to only install the XP home edition and

I am confused about whether you can or can not intall XP over "unsupported" systems?. Specifically the XP Home Edition over Windows NT 4.0 Workstation

Only Windows XP Professional can upgrade over Windows NT
Workstation. You would have to reformat your drive in order to
install Windows XP Home Edition.
