can ADM templateas set permissions

I was wondering can ADM templates set permissions,in the registry, lets say i have a group of users who use a application but the application needs them to be power users, i have edit permissions in the registry to get it to work with just users,i want a ADM template to do so if possible, or any other idea would be of some help too. thanks

An ADM won't do this but you can do it by using Security Templates.

Search for Security Templates in Help on your Windows 2000 server.

In the Group Policy Object Editor, use "Computer Configuration/Windows
Settings/Security Settings/Registry". From here you can set security
settings on registry keys via a GPO.

ADM templates (Administrative Templates) policy can only create/delete
registry keys and values.
