We had a power outage and now my machine will not start. Win XP Pro SP2

Error message:

STOP: C0000221 unknown hard error
\systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll

I read the MS KB article pertaining to the error, but I do not know how to
restore the dll file from the Windows disk. Please help.

Is there an easier way to just fix the file in question if I have an
uncorrupted copy of the file on floppy?

Thanks,
Robbie

The Repair Install is extremely easy and there are probably other files
that have gotten messed up also. A Repair Install is the way to go.

You might try a livecd http://www.knoppix.org/
to replace the file (ntdll.dll) - but it will most likely need to be
registered (in the registry) to work,
