C++ Library Runtime error

Hello! I have Windows XP and as of yesterday my Money 2000 program decided not to open. It has the error message "Visual C++ Runtime Library" "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." It then says to contact the application's support team. It was working fine until yesterday. Scanned for viruses and updates and found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Have you tried either reinstalling the program or failing that try system
restore and go back to when the program worked. You can always undo the
system restore operation if it doesn't work.

I have had this same problem with microsoft word, and have both re-installed
and done a system restore, neither made a difference. I tried a few
suggestions from the microsoft.public.word.application error newsgroup,
which also didn't help. The only thing that seems to have made a difference
so far is unchecking the microsoft office protection in the Norton anti
virus programme. Apparently it is not of much use, and just causes conflicts
(as I read in another post). I have only tried word 3 or 4 times since
doing this but so far so good.....so if you have Norton I would try the same
and see if it makes a difference for you.
